How to Create a QR Code for Bookings

A QR code turns a counter, a flyer or a shop window into a booking entry point. The setup is quick, but sizing, placement and tracking are what make it work in practice.

Start from your booking link

Use the direct link to your public booking page, the same one you share in messages and social profiles. The code should open the page with no extra steps: no home page and no menu to navigate.

If you promote different services in different places, use a link that pre-selects the service so the customer lands on the right booking flow.

Download a format you can print

Save the code as a vector file such as SVG where possible, or as a high-resolution image. Vector formats stay sharp on window vinyl and large posters, while small image files blur as soon as they are enlarged.

Get the size right

As a working rule, keep the code at least a few centimetres across on printed material, and considerably larger on anything read from a distance such as a window or a banner. Leave clear space around the code so nothing crowds the edges.

Place it where people pause

Put the code in places where customers already have a moment to act on it.

  • Reception desk or counter card
  • Window or door vinyl
  • Flyers, receipts and business cards
  • After-service cards and follow-up material

Make it easy to scan

High contrast works best: dark code on a light background. Avoid shiny laminate that reflects light under ceiling lamps, and keep codes away from folds and creases on printed material.

Test before you print a run

Scan the code with at least two different phones before printing anything in volume. Check that it opens the booking page and that the page loads properly on mobile data.

Track scans that turn into bookings

Give each placement its own link, or add campaign parameters, so analytics can tell the counter card apart from the flyer. That way you learn which locations actually produce appointments instead of guessing.

Keep the tracking simple: one distinct link per material is usually enough to see what is working.
